How sad immoral bigotry is moral. Homophobia is always
immoral. However, if the Bishops believe that same sex marriage is wrong tell them
to keep their religion to themselves. No Catholic has a moral right to say
anything about religion to anyone out his or her own parish. The most the
Bishops can say is Catholics should not marry some one of the same sex. I would
disagree but that is a debate I would be willing to have. For the Bishop to
argue with non-Catholics brings up painful memories of the worst parts of
Catholic history. My only regret is I cannot send this letter directly to the
Bishops. The Church should be love not hate.
