I just talked to a friend going to the border to leave water to those migrants entering this country illegally.  He does this, this time every year for the last several years. If he gets caught, he goes to jail. I do not have health for that. But I need to get off my cushy pampered  Professorial ass and take a stans there is no neutrality. Either you side with the exploited or the exploiters.  Before I came to Dillon ,I felt like I was always taking risks and fighting the good fight. Time to do it again. What are they going to do to me put me in jail, I have been in jail more than once and prison once for four months? Kill me at this age who really cares. Getting ready to go back on campus to a support plush job. I will do that of course; I can always be that trouble making professor. But I want to do more.

Recruited by a group of old comrades to be an elector passing by while I was setting on the stoop drinking hot coffee listing to bird sing and wondering why the Old Left faded away  and the New Left existed only in the University. When these ancient comrades came by and struck  a conversation.  Being only 29 at the time I thought to my self yes to be touch by history from another time, does it get any better.
