Support the free Palestine Movement.
Since June 1967 most leftist and myself were in full support of Palestinian Rights and the right of return of Palestine’s refuges from the 1948 war. Thus, the one state solution and homeland for Jews and a homeland for Palestinians. A Jewish state is something else. All states are multi-national, multi-ethnic, multi-linguistic, multi-religious and multi-cultural, and should be secular in spirit and content.
I am fundamentally opposed to a Christian State, a Muslim, State, a Jewish State or a Buddhist State.
Being pro-Palestinian is not anti-sematic, but not being pro-Palestinian is racist.
Truly Truman was no real friend of Jewish refugees he was looking for a client state in the region. Thus, the US government for political reasons cynically manipulated the cruel tragedy of Jewish history, which was both extremely painful and very catastrophic. A homeland for the Jewish was important but not at the displacement of indigenous people the Palestinians. Why are not American students not also thought about al’ Nakba “catastrophe” The 1948 war uprooted 700,000 Palestinians from their homes, creating a refugee crisis that is still not resolved. Then with 67’ war and settlements creating even more refugees. The lack of empathy for this humanitarian crisis is both scandalous and depraved.
Now we have a golden opportunity to reinforce the Jewish Voice for Peace in bringing about true reconciliation. We must openly condemn the United States for its support of States with serious human rights violations for political gain be it Saudi Arabia, Israel or any other convenient client.
