Why I am not a Democrat

Why I am not a Democrat

Crime committed under Democratic Presidents, are outlined below.  Are they truly any different that Republicans? The attack of welfare rights and the poor was begun in the last years of the Carter administration.  During the Clinton years, the President approved the largest welfare cuts in history. All the above were Democrats.  This, along with workfare and prison industries, legalizes slavery and seriously threatens what’s left of organized labor.   It has been argued that sometimes we pick the lesser of two evils to survive.  When faced with two choices both horrendously corrupt, I for one refuse to pick which would be the least evil.  Republicans are arrogant and Democrats lie.  The three guiding principles of Republicans are greed, avarice, and juvenile self-indulgence.  For the Democrats it was cowardice, deceit, and lack of commitment.
I have to start somewhere so I will start 100 years ago.  In the Pullman strike of 1894, President Cleveland sent federal troops into Chicago to break up the strike over the opposition of Illinois Governor John Altgeld.  Cleveland also used federal troops to break the strike of Homestead Pennsylvania.
Wilson what can I say World War I the Great War to make the world safe for US and British Industrial and Financial Markets, what are a few lives of soldiers of working class origin?  Espionage Act of 1917 and the Sedition Act of 1918 that made any criticism of the war effort a crime carrying stiff prison terms for those anti-war activists.  Even after the war during his benevolent rule the Palmer raids began a mass deportation of any foreign-born radicals citizens or not.
Truman Doctrine carried out the destruction of the democratic coalition government of Greece.   March 12 1947 President Truman launched his famous doctrine for the reconstruction of Europe.  As US ambassador to Greece, D. Griswold stated The US has every right to interfere in affairs of Greece.  Result was democracy in Greece was overthrown and right wing terror established in Greece the only cost was a mere 160,000 Greek lives lost in that Civil War.  As Generalissimo Truman was murdering Greek patriots he was gutting American labor. Truman at the same time as he claims to oppose the Taft-Hartley act broke the national railroad strike by threatening to draft all strikers into the army.  The war in Korea could easily have been averted if only the US would have withdrawn in 1949 the same time as Soviet Union pulled out.
Truman Doctrine included Executive Order 9835 March 21 1947 which stated simply that “all federal employees must of complete and unswerving loyalty to the United States, or they were to be treated as a threat to the democratic process and absolute security of the United States and its freedom”.  In April 28 1951 Truman issued an executive order to change the governments policy in hiring from that of person being a security risk to not hiring anyone whose loyalty was in reasonable doubt.  If you question any progressive individual victimized by Cold War paranoia and the repulsive eruption of human right violations deliberately organized from the highest levels of government, if Harry was any better than Mr. McCarthy, they will say probably “I think not”.
Why did commandant Johnson refuse to set the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party at the 1964 Democratic Party National Convention?  That’s not my party talking.  Remember LBJ and Vietnam, a mass murder of a people because if free elections were to be held any time from 1955 - to - 1969 in Vietnam uncle Ho would win and we couldn’t have that could we?  But also Juan Bosch the democratically elected President in the Dominican Republic was not the first choice of Gulf-Western and had to be taken out by force.
Why not work within the Democratic Party to change into a more progressive political force?  Remember the 1972 Presidential election to discipline the left the Party leadership hung George, whose supporters were more left than him, out to dry.  The Presidential campaign was carried out with less over all national support, than any presidential election before.  Again in 1988 after a vigorous primary challenge by Jackson, the Dukakis chose Lloyd Bentsen as his running mate from the party’s right wing.    Mr. Bentson was born into a millionaire ranching family, owned his own insurance company and later became Clinton’s first secretary of the treasury.
The Reagan Cold War really began in the second half of the Carter administration, with the close instruction of Zbigniew Brzezinski\, whose anti-communism clouds clear thinking.  Jimmy Cater and the Democratic Congress lowered the Capital Gains Tax to help out our starving mega-corporations.
Clinton has supported NAFTA, GATT, IMF, World Bank, WTO the giant greed organs that are literally killing our plant.  Clinton signed the Balanced Budget Agreement in August 1997, killing the few surviving social programs missed by Reagan and the Republicans.  Under Clinton the most comprehensive welfare cuts ever left working people below the poverty line with nothing but despair to look forward too.  Under his loving care the number of children in poverty rose from 15% to 23%.  Clinton help found the Democratic Leadership Council a right wing group of Democrats with few ties to Labor, with the clearly defined task of a assisting corporate expansion by cutting corporate taxes and social programs to the rest of us.  Clinton could not find it in his heart to provide decent employment through expansion of government jobs, provide acceptable child care to people who poor and need of a job, education opportunities for those poor who our educational system misses.  Clinton removed millions including children from family assistance, and food stamps.  In June 1997 The Defense Intelligence Agency extended Reagan’s federally funded private mercenary forces to clandestinely topple annoying third world governments.  Besides privatizing many military operations, US arms producers are free to sell weapons to any who can pay spreading misery and tragedy in the name of profit, paid for by US taxpayers.  Prisons, police, hospitals, welfare and schools are being privatized for profit and the needs of US citizens are only inconvenient.

Communism and the Democrats
The greatest problem with the Communist Party USA, and there are many serious problems, is not that it is top down authoritarian.  It is top down authoritarian all right. The Democratic Party suffers from the same flaw, as do most trade unions I have been part of.  In High School I was a Young Democrat, and worked on the LBJ 1964 campaign.  In the 1984 and 1988 Jesse Jackson for Presidential campaigns I saw the inner workings of the Democratic Party, and I saw nothing at all democratic.  The Democratic power base would use parliamentary procedures to shut me up.  I would talk to the Democrats, as they were my equals when we disagreed.  I was taught to always respect all opinions.   With respect both parties may learn from the other.  The Democrats would talk through me as if I was not even there.  If I forced the issue the esteemed political experts would pronounce their wisdom at me as if I were a contagious and unhealthy deranged imbecile.  Unions do treat me with a bit more respect, but only a fragment beyond the respect shown some one suffering from felonious schizophrenia.  The Communists may agree or disagree with me, but they always even when yelling at me, treat me as if I were their equal.  They may have a different opinion with me on any issue, even hate me for my position, but we can have an intelligent and egalitarian screaming match.  No Communist simply dismisses me out hand.  With the Democrats I have no ascribed contribution to be taken seriously.  Of course Democratic Centralism does not work for the Communist, it Centralized and not at all democratic.  How is that any different from the Democrats? Which is more honest?  Sure the CPUSA did at one time blindly defend the massive crimes of Uncle Joe Stalin.  Few Democrats however would condemn that mass murderer Harry S. Truman.  Think about Hiroshima, Nagasaki. Greece, Korea get the idea?  Ask any radical victimized by Cold War paranoid upheaval consciously orchestrated from the highest levels of government, if Harry was any better than Mr. McCarthy.  I have and almost always I get what an oily bastard that Commandant Truman was.  Mass murders are mass murders the Communist carry memories of crimes carried out in their name, as do the Democrats.  Both are authoritarian the Communists are a little more human than the Democrats.
Communists are also highly critical and destructive of the personality of the individual.  They call it criticism and self-criticism.  Trials are held in which the character of the preternatural and lack of wisdom of the criminal are held up to community reducible.  Sounds like the Democratic Party, Graduate School, House on un-American Activities, Black Listing, trying to get publish in a professional journal, most political activists groups, or peer review for tenure and promotion.  I have never had a Communist try to destroy me professionally.  Sociologist at Oregon, administrators and college boards are as cruel as stonyhearted assassins in their attempts to deal with censure of ideological threats.  Don’t give me this shit about authoritarian.
The single greatest flaw of the Communist Party of the United States is that it is rigidly narrow with sectarian walls thrown up around it.  The Communist like all of the organized Left fails to fully appreciate the incredible richness of the Left outside its own organization.  This citadel manner of thinking suffocates the beauty of the Left itself.  Revolution is a passion play.  A Dance of Life in which love of humanity blends with the pulse of the earth and air that envelops the life of the radical.  Each group on the Left has its legacy, generous elegance, its understanding, and its perceptive wisdom’s.  Each group correspondingly cut it self off from the roots of all racial life and becomes dogmatic and sectarian thus filled with dry rot, inflexibility, bleakness, infertility, and irrelevancy.  “Freedom from errors” is styptic as it extinguishes the breath of life of the radical movement.  My crime is not only was I Communist I was also a communist.  That is a socialist, syndicalist, and revolutionary democrat.  Both the Communist and the Trotskyists have a lot to offer.  Both the Marxist and the Anarchist have a lot to offer.  That was and is my crime on the Left I am that unforgivable word eclectic”.
